Challenge

Urbaser was transforming its culture and working style. To align this evolution with its purpose of “making circularity a reality”, the company partnered with BICG to assess its culture, technology, spaces and working habits. This work led to a new office model and the refurbishment of the Aqua building in Madrid as its new headquarters.

Our approach

BICG helped Urbaser redesign its working ecosystem. Private offices were removed, flexible spaces were introduced, and hybrid working was encouraged through tools such as Hyteams. A change plan involving ambassadors, middle management and internal campaigns supported employees throughout the transition.

Generated impact

The changes reduced office space by 63%, generating annual savings of €500,000. Paper usage fell by 79%. Employees experienced improved collaboration, access to technology, leadership support and connection to the company’s values, thereby strengthening culture, agility and sustainability.
