Challenge

Following the spin-off from Novartis, Sandoz faced the challenge of relocating teams to new offices in Basel and Prague whilst redefining its culture post-spin-off. The key risk was not the physical move itself, but ensuring engagement, minimising resistance and turning the transition into a catalyst for collaboration and cultural alignment.

Our approach

We guided Sandoz through diagnostics, workshops and communication strategies, ensuring transparency and engagement. In Basel, we supported the temporary headquarters and defined the requirements for the permanent one. In Prague, staff co-designed the new office, fostering collaboration and reflecting the company’s new culture.

Generated impact

Both relocations were delivered smoothly and on time, which reduced resistance and enabled employees to embrace the transition. The new spaces reinforced Sandoz’s cultural transformation, strengthened collaboration and positioned the company to grow as an independent global leader.
