Challenge

Mercadona set out to bring together employees from various offices in Valencia into a single campus in Albalat dels Sorells. The goal was not only logistical but strategic: to bridge the gap between corporate and retail teams, foster agility, and align working practices with evolving business priorities. This required a profound transformation of both physical space and organisational culture.

Our approach

From ideation to execution, guiding a multi-year transformation. The approach began with a study of spatial and work dynamics, leading to a model that integrates space, technology, and processes. A structured change management plan was implemented, involving employees in co-design sessions, addressing resistance, and ensuring transparent communication. The process emphasised empowering teams to adopt new behaviours and actively shape the transformation.

Generated impact

It was possible to establish internal coordination, reduce resistance and create a climate of trust for change. The network of Change Ambassadors multiplied the reach and facilitated dialogue, consolidating the core programme as a strategic project for the future, and not merely as a technological implementation. The project is still actively underway.
