Challenge
Bayer faced the challenge of optimising its property footprint, reducing space and costs through spatial adjustments with minimal investment, whilst ensuring environments aligned with its professionals’ ways of working. The project also included change management to support teams through the transition and ensure they could derive maximum value from the office, all within the framework of adopting a new global organisational model.
Our approach
We analysed the infrastructure and occupancy to define scenarios for optimising the Workplace footprint, keeping the professionals’ experience at the centre. We created layouts with minimal intervention and new spatial typologies, alongside a change management process based on communication, gamification and change agents, ensuring adoption and the maximum use of the spaces.
Generated impact
The project enabled Bayer to optimise its property footprint, reducing floor space by 1.5 floors and associated costs, whilst creating flexible environments aligned with the way professionals work. Thanks to the new designs and the change management process, teams quickly adopted the spaces, increasing efficiency, collaboration and the value of the offices.
