Challenge
Schaeffler faced the challenge of developing a future-oriented spatial strategy for its special machinery construction division. The aim was to combine production and office spaces in a functional and creative way, whilst establishing a coherent strategy for IT, culture and communication.
Our approach
In coordination with Schaeffler, BICG developed a spatial strategy and architectural design. The entire transformation process was accompanied by change management measures and a targeted communication campaign to actively involve employees.
Generated impact
The project created a completely new spatial and cultural connection between production and office workstations, which strengthened long-term cross-departmental cooperation. Employees benefited from modern, flexible working environments that boost efficiency and innovation. The strategic integration of space, technology and culture set a new standard for special machinery construction at Schaeffler and, at the same time, created a scalable model for other sites.
