Sandoz Workplace Guidelines were conceived as a dynamic toolbox designed to shape the blueprint of every office within Sandoz. The Workplace Guidelines aimed to create efficient work environments with collaborative spaces that reflected the new Sandoz culture and values, while at the same time, being flexible enough to quickly reconfigure and respond to ever changing business requirements. This set of guidelines not only laid the foundation for a harmonious and productive work environment but also empowered teams to tailor their spaces to meet the unique needs of each site.

Sandoz Change Management Framework was introduced as a guide to the standardized implementation of a complete Change Management process at Sandoz. The aim was to optimize the workplace experience for all associates within the different Sandoz sites going through a workplace transformation, facilitating the transition from a traditional office space to an innovative Sandoz workplace environment whilst taking advantage of the momentum to accelerate Sandoz cultural transformation. Therefore, the toolbox contained the necessary knowledge to implement a New Work project at Sandoz successfully, including the principles of Change Management, a generic roadmap, and a breakdown of all activities presented in the roadmap.

In sum, these frameworks resulted in multiple benefits for Sandoz:

  1. Consistency: Standardized guides ensured every stakeholder followed the same workplace strategy and change management process, reducing confusion and resistance.
  2. Efficiency: Streamlined procedures saved time and resources, especially in the planning phase, making project implementation smoother.
  3. Risk Management: Guides helped identify and mitigate potential risks, preventing costly mistakes. By following a structured approach, Sandoz was able to anticipate and address issues more effectively in all their projects.
  4. Employee Engagement: Transparent processes encouraged employee involvement and foster buy-in for successful change. Sandoz stakeholders were presented these frameworks as a toolbox to use and adapt based on their knowledge, increasing ownership over each project.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Guides enabled learning from past experiences, promoting adaptability and resilience. Sandoz is now able to not only build its current guidelines from past experiences, but also adapt them according to each and every project in the future thanks to the lessons learned and best practices.
