Redeia: The digitalisation of hybrid work

In 2023, Redeia initiated the transition to a hybrid work model, in collaboration with bicg.

Redeia, a leading business group in the management of electrical and telecommunications infrastructures in Spain, Peru, Chile and Brazil, focused on innovation and sustainability, began a process of adopting a new hybrid work model in 2023, which they have been progressively optimising, with excellent results.

During this transition, Redeia identified the need to implement a hybrid work management system to:

  • Ensure collaboration and connection between colleagues, between teams and leaders, and between teams themselves.
  • Manage hybrid teams across the organisation, ensuring proper compliance with the legal framework and agreed flexibility commitments.
  • Obtain relevant data on both the communication relationships between the different directorates and departments of the company, as well as on the use of the offices.
  • And from the data, to foresee the dynamics of hybrid work and the relationship needs of the teams and thus the future use of material resources in order to make it more efficient.

The solution we proposed was the hyTeams tool. A hybrid work coordination, registration and management application, developed by bicg, which facilitated the coordination of teams, visualisation of attendance planning, management of remote working days and data collection on the hybrid model.

The customised implementation of hyTeams for Redeia included comprehensive security measures and specific adaptations to manage remote working days in a flexible way, according to the needs of each company in the group.

In addition, training sessions were conducted for professionals on the new working model, management recommendations, effective use of the hyTeams tool and weekly time synchronisation.

The highlight of the outcome was the increased work flexibility for employees and the adoption of weekly synchronisation as standard practice.

Insightful data analysis on the distribution of remote working days enabled Redeia to adjust its work policies to meet the needs of its professionals.
